Weird to me!

So I've played since season 3 and it just seems weird to me that riot has never held "Nation" wars. Like a game mode in which you play as Zaun vs Piltover, Demacia vs Noxus, or even the Void vs Shadow Isles. You always see in the lore see that they go against each other and that the League was fonded to end the wars and settle disputes, but riot has never used this as say a Champion release thing or even a promotional thing. Like they could do that and release a Champion for the the side that has the most wins across all servers, or something as small as the rift having that nations colors hung around the map. As i said its just weird to me that something like this has never happened.

They could do an event where you pick fractions and while you play in those fractions you get points. The thing is would they make it so which every fraction you pick you have to use those champions? That might be unfair for people who don't have champions, unless it unlocks it with that game mode.

I mean I'd like something like that. Not sure who'd pick. But to have a "war" against different places would be good. But I highly doubt Riot could make something as big as that. Would take too much time. Plus what would the prizes be, the game mode in general. If it's just summoners rift some might find it boring and not interesting!
