Hextech crafting Champion Blue essence

Hey there just wondering if Riot has announced or said anywhere about possible changes or adding to the hextech crafting in later updates about champion shards and essence.

Right now i am happy with holding on to my countless champion shards as i can use them to unlock any and every new champion they throw at us for close to 2 years (thats how many champ shards i have.. lol). But i would love to know from a red or even a link to a red talking about possible changes to the champion essence. As i am someone who loves the chest system and as a whale, buy too many chests already XD.
