Plus size characters please riot?

Pretty much what the title says. For real there is a lack in some what chubbier or even well built women characters. We have so many odd shaped men, christ we have Gargas for crying out loud. But the only odd woman type champion who isn't sexualized in some form is Illaoi as a normal human and Rek.

Even champions like Tristana are somewhat played down but thats because they run off the cute ascetic, so its either cute or sexy ascetic that characters are played into on creation. Which is fine i guess, but can we play a little more into sexy plus size then? Men and women characters too not just women. I am okay with more representation of ethnicity too while we are at it. As a white guy i feel weird that nearly every freaking character is white to some extent, and there is no Asian characters at all except yas? But he seems white like a weeb.(unless we count taliyah/irelia as one? it is hard to tell).

Not to sound all SJW like, because i hate that too but for real i could go for some more variety in the characters when it comes to body types.

Because when i see its a female its always some super sexy or cute champion, and for monsters its normally just a male monster of some sort, or super buff guy with a weapon. More champions like Cam, or Illaoi would be nice when it comes to art style.

Sorry for the rant. Just would love to see more real choices in shapes, ethnicities and so on in champion creation! [slayer-jinx-catface]

This approach just takes the problem and walks it in the opposite direction. If having hourglass figure champions in the game inhibits artistic expression for the sake of marketing the game better than having forced diversity just inhibits artistic expression for the sake of inclusion.

I'm black and I feel nothing for Pyke Karma Lucian Ekko for sharing my skin color . I don't need video game characters to validate my existence.

But Lucian and Ekko especially FEEL right as black characters. One is a badass dead man walking that conjures images of Denzel Washington and the other is a rough and tumble street kid who has innate talent but was born under circumstances where he might not be able to express that. These characters might not work as well as a white character BECAUSE the artistic process was clearly being respected. These are decision that are being informed by what the character needs and not about what society is imposing on the character.

I see that Karma is black and I'm just like... 'Kay. She could easily be white... or Asian for that matter because that's what Ionia is based on so that, from a thematic standpoint should make the most sense and yet either could work better.

When a champion that should be fat is in development needs to be fat for the champ then that decision will be made and it should inform something about that character. That decision shouldn't be made "just cuz".

This is not about politics. Progressive vs Conservative or whatever. I can make the opposite argument about how Kai'Sa slowly turned from something cool and slightly horrific in her early concept art to a cookie cutter, hourglass figure more comely design that was so obviously diluted when more artists (and possibly marketers) came in a nd started making decisions that pushed her away from the original vision.

This is about the artistic vision and the purity of that vision. Decisions made based on making money, reaching a new audience, confomring to a status quo all muddle that vision. Simple as that. Imposing Diversity isn't the solution, autonomy in the art space is, even with all the biases that these HUMAN artists have. Because one is where "the magic" happens and the other just results in stilted caricatures that exist solely to check a box.

Depends what you're asking. A little bit more fat I can understand. But straight up obesity shouldn't be encouraged or glorified. It is a problem afterall that many of the obese people are trying to get rid of (I didn't say all cause apparrntly there are some people who enjoy being obese and dying at 40 from a hearth attack)

Lucian is black, Karma, Ekko and Nida all have asian skin color.

I don't really need a plus size character personally, so I don't really care if one gets added or not. But I would like a creepy female, one that gives you serious "oh shit, she is going to kill me" vibes like Pyke or Jhin. Some psycho killer.
