how is mmr actually a fair system

so i was just thinking today, im currently silver 4, and a few days ago i won ~ 9 games in a row and then lost 2 and almost deranked to silver 5... while my friend up in plat wins almost 35 lp per game and loses around 7 ... how am i ever supposed to fix my mmr when winning more than im losing doesnt even bring it up at all?

U dont have anywhere in your match history 9 in a row ranked wins. U had 6 , but before that u had 6 losses in a row.
