I can't be the only one who has seen someone lose lane to someone you thought they would not lose to. A few I have seen or play is Shen beating Fizz and can beat up Darius. Mundo beating up Rengar. I've played this two time as Mundo and just wrecked them both times. Not really as weird as the others but Mundo wrecks Teemo too. What are some you have seen or played?

I have never actually lost a Riven vs Darius matchup. I have never beaten a Gnar in lane even though I main two of his biggest counters. I never bully the Zed well enough with Kayle. Kayle is a giant Darius counter, but I always feed that lane. I'm not a bad Kayle despite this; on my main much of my elo has been obtained with Kayle. I'm also a terrible Riven even though I insist on playing her, so how do I win the bad lane?

TBH it can really be a matter of skill. I've crushed tanks like Leona and Thresh (top support picks) with squishies like Sona (who should insta-die as soon as she's grabbed). I'm just a good support.

Lolno. Support Leo's generally don't build triforces. And if they don't, they're lacking the tankiness that should make them a good pick against a poke champ.
