Riot please, if not before do this now.

Right, so i made a post ~ 2 years ago that requested champions to be rank delayed for 1 week post release. Why did i recommend this?

Well, it was for 2 reasons

First off: A person who picks a new champion in ranked is likely to have no idea how to play that champion, it only seems fair to the rest of the game that this champion shouldn't be ready for ranked play if nobody knows how to play them.

Second main reason: Nobody knows how to play against that champion. When i came back after a few months and saw a couple of reworks and a couple new champions I would not touch ranked, i had no idea how to play against a bunch of champions

And so you ask; Why am I remaking this post? Its simple. With leagues very first double release, Xayah and Rakan, it is very possible to have both of those champions on a team, and it is also very possible to have them both in the same lane. This puts an intense amount of stress on both the allies and the enemies of the new releases.

Lets think stat wise. In the event xayah and rakan are both selected in the same game The amount of players who know their champion : 10 ---> 8 The amount of effective lanes that know their matchups: 3 ---> 2 (assuming they both go bot lane) this means there could potentially be a 20% reduction of knowledge in a single game of league of legends, and if the two champions are both on the same team this reduction increases to 40%. Lets say bot lane contains both xayah and rakan and they each dont know the champion very well. Bot lane gets crushed and loses(possible in any other ranked games, but you get the point).

I just really think its about time to introduce new sanctions to fresh releases. This game is very old now and this change is far overdue in my opinion. Anyways, thanks for the read.
