...This... Gives me a thought as to how Riot could possibly glorify Supports. Sorta. The problem is this metric ONLY would function for heal/shield supports versus positional supports (Thresh versus Soraka/Janna) But the basic idea is this: The game HAS to be able to track how much shield HP versus real HP you have, or the idea of shielding an ally would be much more scary (whew, my janna shielded me and I still only made it out with 10 HP- oh I died, because the shield expired and all I had left was shield HP.) With that established... If the game can ALSO keep track of how much time had passed, and thus factor in regeneration, as well as damage reduction from resistance stats, it then becomes possible to properly award 'kill denied!' to a Support, in much the same way as 'kills' are awarded. That said, it's an imperfect system as is-it doesn't handle things like say, a Braum tanking the damage for you, and it does nothing for say, a Blitz pulling an enemy Trynd off you before he can finally kill you...But it's a starting point. Mobility saves are tough to figure out though, and I don't have a good idea on how to standardize a system for them.
