If you're high enough elo op.gg will record the match automatically (noone in your match was high enough for that), you can manually tell it to record your match, you can sign up on replay.gg to record all your matches (possibly some other sites too), or you can use a third party replay app to record them as you play. However, if none of those recorded the match while you were playing they won't be able to get it.

Basically, your only shot after the fact is to pull up the new client and get it from your match history before the next patch goes out (once the match is outdated by patch you won't be able to retrieve or watch it).

Ah, shame then. I still use BaronReplays.

thanks for trying!

its all good though i just updated the client and it has the replay from before the update.

however i did read that it wipes every patch here. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/2JWmR6sF-replays-are-live-in-the-new-client-faq-pro-tips

if it does wipe, is it possible for me to save it?

oh and is it possible to share it with others?

The .rofl (replay file) doesn't go anywhere, you just can't open it with a different client version to spectate. You can spectate it while it's current and save highlights though; those are saved as .webm's (simply a video file) so can be watched whenever. Save a highlight and you can upload it online to share.
