Something I don't understand when I climb divisions:

Okay I've been struggling in Silver since I started playing League, so I'm probably a noob, my soul is noob.

Still, during the last weeks I've climbed pretty well. I could feel I was playing pretty good. And yet, after I arrived at Silver 1 ~75 LP, I found myself matched with "bad" players. No flame intended but I could observe a lower level of gaming.

As the fool I am, I thought: the better you play, the higher you climb, the better players you meet.

roti plz y u do dis 2 mi item 3070

I'm diamond and I suck ass mate.

The players don't get much better as you climb. They become slightly less toxic (slightly), and slightly less trolly (slightly), but that's it. Any one outside the top 2200 players on the server (master and challenger) are fucking terrible at this game.

There's a difference between game knowledge (CS, laning, objective control), mechanical skill (see: Riven), and teamwork/behavior. It'd be great if someone was well rounded, but they're already diamond. The players at higher ranks are better at something; it may not be the same something you see as valuable, or the thing that got you to your rank, but it's something. I promise you, they're better, at least a little.
