Let's have a talk about the future of League and what the plan is from here on out.

With the Preseason being the time where the most changes to League happen I want to talk to the community and to riot about a few things that have happened recently and over the years.

Over the years many features have been requested for League of Legends, from customized settings in custom games, to practise modes, all the way through to a replay system. This is the time for us as a community and as Rioters and players to talk about the future.

In the past Riot has stated that they are working on a new client for League of Legends, I would like to ask for an update on the progress of this project. This request is due to the recent announcement and launch of our primary competitor Dota 2's Reborn update. Which contains many of the features and qualities that the league community has been asking for since season 1. So I am wondering what the Client update will include for features that have been requested by the community.

Regarding this I also want to know what Riots feelings and response to Dota 2's reborn update is.

What are your planned actions to counter it? Are you willing to be more open to communication on game features? Are we going to get an update of similar proportions? What is preventing these features?

As for the preseason what are the goals for this year? Something specific that you want to address like last years jungle and the vision from season 4?

How can we as players help Riot with this?

What do players think of the Dota 2 update? What features would you want to be put into League that are not yet in League?

Sorry if this is a short post, I prefer to get straight to the point when it comes to topics. This post is also not trying to be rude to Riot its here to ask what the plan is and how we (as a community) can help.

Sadly, as long as they remain the 2nd highest earning f2p game in the world and the number 1 in mobas (both earning and player base) they have no motivation to shake the boat. LoL users are just fanatical in their support of Riot. I mean Dota is objectively the better product (more polished, more features, actually free, etc) and it couldn't even make a dent in the LoL player base. Additionally there are very good subjective arguments for or against Dota over LoL and again lol didn't even waiver.

I can only assume they have something in the makes, but just can't seem to deliver it.

PARTY VOICE CHAT You can now use party voice chat in the dashboard and continue the conversation seamlessly while the game is loading.

DEMO YOUR HERO Each hero's page features a "Demo Hero" button, giving you quick access to a safe place to try out any hero's abilities and practice last hitting. The hero will also wear any items you have selected in their Loadout, giving you a chance to preview any cosmetic item in-game, including items you don't own.

RITO PLS

The reborn update is still in beta so i didn't bother installing it. From what my friends have said, there are huge improvements to the UI of the client and little improvements outside of the game...but nothing new and game breaking. Tho what this does represent is the opportunity for better models more detailed map, and community and valve created custom games (which i'm super excited for).

As for Riot, they desperately need a new client even more so that dota did. If they can push out a client 1/2 as good as dota2's pre source2 client, they'd do a great service to this community. Alas, with their track records seems like nothing that drastic will come out of pre season. I guess we can keep our fingers crossed.
