Does the legendary snowball work on ultimate skins? because I've been waiting to buy spirit guard Udyr until there was some for of a sale and this would be enough for me.

On the Snowdown preview thread, a Rioter commented saying Ultimate skins do NOT count for the mystery skin. Only Legendaries (1820) skins will give it.
