LeaverBuster OP

So, I never leave a game with the intent of not coming back to playing (I'll explain later). I don't have that exciting of a life, so I never have any emergencies.

So far, the only time I've had to leave a game, was to fix in-game bugs. Such as there was one point in time where some games I would connect to, I couldn't use any of my hotkeys. So I would have to manually click on each ability. Sometimes I would have to leave the game and come back like 5 or 6 times. Most of the time though, it would only take one time. Other times I've had to leave the game was IF I NEVER CONNECTED AT ALL. I would have to re-log onto league and try again. Only to get that Firewall error again.

Now the most recent time that I had to leave was just my last game. The loading screen in itself was super buggy, but I thought nothing much of it really. Then when I got into the game, I could not see anything, other than Summoners Rift. What I mean by this is, The champions didn't spawn at fountain. I couldn't buy anything from the store. I waited about 30-45 seconds before I decided to re-log. Low and behold I couldn't connect back to the game! So I tried again and again and again (racking up those leaves, YAY!) only to no avail. So I figured it would be one of those games in which I would never get back in because of that stupid firewall error. So I just sat there and decided to click the rejoin button again. To see if the match was over yet. It wasn't, and I was suddenly able to reconnect.

After the game I get the LeaverBuster message telling me that I've been a bad boy. And I had to agree to not be bad anymore. My problem with this is that on every occasion that I've had to leave the game, it was because of Riot's game. Nothing I did myself (I take that back, the no hotkey bug got fixed after their support helped me remove some potential problems. So I will take the heat for that). Because of the way this system is, it is punishing me for playing your game. I understand that it is not your intention to do so, but that is essentially what it is doing.

Does Riot have a failsafe method of proving it's own system incorrect? Is there a way for Riot to remove leave tags on a profile manually? A way to over-ride the system?

Unfortunately, the leavebuster system is seriously flawed. There are a lot of people getting warnings or even punishments when they did nothing wrong. Hopefully Riot will fix this ASAP.

I found that one of the problems is that they force a disconnect from game if you go afk for to long (say the bathroom). then you have to click on a screen that boots you from game and sends a message saying hey this person is now afk. you reconnect and there is no message being sent saying hey this person is not afk anymore. and that although a good way to get rid of game afker's is flaud if the person is sitting at their computer waiting for the message that warns them then they move a little bit, and then proceed to afk. for those with real world problems and cannot be there all game but make an effort to reconnect are still being punished for it.. they should set a parameter to distance traveled as well as if an abillity is used within a set time frame to determine if some one is just greifing or is in game. getting rid of those that use the warning as a means to extend their time in game with out getting leave busted. as well as set parameters to those that reconnect by checking actions preformed with in the remained of the game. example: say you reconnect you travel to nexus and defend it you do (x) amount of damage to enemy minions/champs. you proceed to get (y) amount of kills/assists. with in the game that lets say you lost. the following would then happen people may report you for being afk. but if say you were trying a increasing number would not report. letting leavebuster decide by both parameters and the reports would allow them to decide if you deserve a warning/punishment. item 3134

Most people who complain about riots servers need to to look at there own systems / isp ... I been playing LOL for a long time and very rarely ever have the problems expressed on the boards .

How many more people are going to complain about this warning? It's just a stupid warning, it means nothing more than the messages they send you after you get reported.

i just made a thread of how the loading screen wont even start up and says im not connected to the net. Now 5 leaver busters later...All kinds of messed up flaws recently. Its really annoying. I cant even practice drafts cuz no1 wants to wait for me.

First, there's no way for leaverbuster to have a false positive; if someone left, they left. The reason you left the game doesn't matter.

Second, the pop-up message happens to EVERY account on its first leave (for any reason). It's just going "Look, leaving is bad, don't do it"

Third, the penalties only kick in after repeated leaves (like the old system) but is more aggressive this time. So for instance, let's say your internet/computer/servers aren't getting along and you're having multiple internet drops all night; leaving a buncha games as a result... then you'd still get bumped into the low priority que (or temp-banned). It's assumed that if you're having problems that night you'll stop trying to play and do something else.

But: If there's something massive on RIot's side, it's been confirmed that you won't be held liable for it. It's for certain to be up with loss prevention, but it may be turned on for other things.

Generally if you leave infrequently you'll never have a problem... I just think, 99% of this fear and rage, is because they worded the notice too aggressively and so it sounds like there's zero tolerance and you'll get uber-banned for it.
