Experiences Like This Make Me Not Want to Play League

League of Legends Match History

So I just had a really bad game. I told my team in champ select that I'm not good at top, and since I was last pick they forced me to top. Because that seems like a good idea. Anyways, about 5 minutes into the game I dc during a duel against the enemy top laner and die. So my team starts saying gg, ff20, noob Garen, etc. I don't understand the expectation that if I clearly say I'm not good at top lane, that I'm supposed to win lane just because Garen counters Renekton. Yeah, he does, but what good is it if I can't play Garen? Anyways, I'm on tilt and I go mid because my jungler told me to "learn how to f*cking play or uninstall" and he's not going to "gank for me because I'm a noob". (This is all in normals, by the way.) So now they start spamming ping and raging at me in all chat, telling me to "quit crying" when all I've said is that if I go top again I'm just going to keep dying because I was 3 levels behind.

When my team finally surrendered, everyone was typing "report Garen" into all chat. Post game was even worse than the game. I was told to "go fcking kill yourself" "learn how to play" "quit being a btch" etc. I honestly don't understand why people force you into lanes you've made clear that you can't play and then expect to win. What would you prefer, get your lane or win the game? At the end of the game I got a notification that I got reported for Negative Attitude because somehow saying "I can't top" or "I need help top" is negative attitude. I'm already on restricted chat and restricted ranked because I was toxic in a few games, but I don't think I was toxic in this game, and I made a special effort to keep my cool. Anyways, this was probably one of the worst games I've had in a long long time, and games like this make me reevaluate why I keep playing League without expecting to be harassed.

Fortunately games like this are one in a million. Whenever something that happens to me I just mute people who are flaming and try to focus on the game.

I really wish it were just one game in a million. Maybe for you it is. Personally, I think Riot should outright ban premade parties unless it's all five because it ruins games for everyone else. There's really no other way around it.
