What s the point of the "Black market Brawlers"?

I am not here to say this game is dumb no, i like the new items there but other than that i just don't understand the point of those minions much. I still feel like it's the same old rift with just more minions.

How do you guys find it? share some stories/thoughts please.

I find it annoying. 2 games in a row, 2 games with AFKs. The fact I have to play with low elo kids is stupid.
