DEBATE: Is Ranked Really For Fun?

The last ranked game I just played as Shen was pretty frustrating. This Viktor just kept getting caught out and died 11 times at the end. He kept blaming the whole team. In post-game chat, I kept calling him out and asking why he didn't just heed my advice. Then, the TF on the enemy team kept telling me to chill off or he will report me for being toxic. I replied back by saying that I was just frustrated because Viktor just kept making the same mistake over and over again. The TF replied that I should just have fun with ranked...I just don't agree with that response. I enjoy playing ranked for the competition but I just don't think it's meant to be a fun gamemode. I find it meant to be competitive and for people who take it seriously not for people who just want to chill and have fun. You can have fun with ranked but doing well is a different thing.

No. It's a game, and it's meant to be treated as such. That doesn't mean free for all everyone troll, that means we don't harass our fellow players or cry like children when we lose.

Whenever I played ranked, I always try my best to help my team out for the win since winning ranked games is a great triumph. Sometimes, I get a little frustrated but I'm never angry to the point where I will leash out on my team mates or insult them for misplays...But I think that some people just don't care(especially people in bronze and silver, more so in bronze). That just makes me angry cause those players are just wasting my time and the people on our team and enemy team (well maybe not cause free win).
