People abusing the system to get the GP skin.

I was just in a game where the guy selected GP then afked for the entire game didnt even buy items. Things like this are happening because riot said "if you own Gangplank and play a matchmade game with him during the event you get the captain skin for free". Now something needs to be done to deter people from afking and ruining the experience for the players who are trying to have a good time and win. I suggest that when there is a GP in the game and he shows as left the game that he doesnt get credit for the game. As for the people who would then just move periodically so they dont leave the game Im not sure since im not sure if Riot can track things like that :/ maybe something like if the person gets the afk notification more than 2 times that game gets disqualified as a game towards the gp skin.

Or maybe some dude just went AFK and he happen to picked GP in that game......Please low down on the salt, it's bad for your health.

So you are saying that afking and ruining players experience is acceptable? That doesn't make much sense at all.

Yeah, the community tends to side with trolls and afks. Pretty much how we got to the toxic state we are in. Oh well.

It's not acceptable but we already have a punishment system for it, what else do you want? Riot squad show up at the Afk'er house and shoot his/her dog? The problem is you blame it on the "event" when it irrelevant.

I want people to take it more seriously and actually try to get afkers to quit doing it. the attitude that you have is why they are so rampant. "oh the system thats there will take care of it for me" when you can actually influence the change if you actually try.

Here is the catch... Leaving once wont give you a leave buster. I think ive only left like maybe 10 games at the very most in the 5 years ive been playing this game. most of which were because of reasons out of my control.

Coop vs AI games count as match-made games for this event.

You can't really use this event as an excuse.

I can since there are people who afk thinking that it will get them the skin without having to care about that game. In turn they are ruining their teammates experience and potentially even the enemy teams experience. 1 person affects up to 9 people which can then affect even more people if they cant shake off the bad mood they were put in from the game cause of an afk. Its a ripple effect and people should understand that.

So i have to ask since thats your stance on the issue. Do you still report leavers/afk after the game? If not you arent actually helping the issue.

I doubt those kinds of things are all that common but they are extremely frustrating. Thats why I hate all of these quests or w/e you want to call them. ESPECIALLY when they involve playing non featured game modes. Like in aram I had several games where people clearly didn't care at all about the game they were just trying to get them 500 CS. This is also why I hope they never actually add achievements.
