I challenge Riot to produce lore as good as this. Check out the rest if you want. This is just ONE of the characters background stories which you could find in audio form AND written form so you could read along. Step it up Riot I challenge you to.

btw this was done with the characters voice actor so the voice was consistent from the audio bio to the game. Hearing the emotions coming from the characters voice as they explain their background makes you get more attached to them imo.

LoL community was the reason why Dawngate was canceled above other things. So many people flock the the popular game making the survivability of Dawnguate highly unlikely. EA is all out getting the most profit out of a game with little to no effort if need by, which is usually why their games fail. EA was thinking greedy, and Dawngate put its trust in horrible publishers who want nothing more than quick proffit instead of helping it tople LoL as the go to MOBA. Its quite a shame for the gaming industry.

I never played Dawngate and have never really looked to far into the game. It may be harsh to say but perhaps poring all those resources into story is why they didn't profit enough to get EA to keep them around? I'm not trying to defend EA here or anything, but three comics a week and fully voice acted bios is a large investment for a game that is still in development in a market that already has considerable competition.

I believe Riot's narrative will, at some point (in the future), release a steadier stream of lore related content. It has been stated multiple times that they want to get the skeleton of the world glued down before fleshing it out. I would venture to guess that they are doing this for fear that if they rush this process they will end up with as many holes and flaws in the new lore as the old.

Dawngate sounds to have had a vast lore and a wonderful story (from the several several bios I have now listened to), but rushing into and attempting to make a story such as the one dawn gate had won't end cleanly and will likely come across as it would be, forced.

Damn you for bringing back Dawngate to my memory. That was the only place where I got lore that actually made me feel ill, but I couldn't stop reading it (the Kindra extra lore, it was. . . . dark.)
