If you go to champion pages on the website particularly TF, Lissandra, Leblanc, Zed, Cassiopeia, and Hecarim. They have this weird smokey effect on them WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?! WHATS THE CONNECTION?!?!
This one is pretty obvious, as Riot's teasers go. The first letters of each champion name spell out XZCLALTH, which is worth 29 points in Scrabble. 20141022 is evenly divisible by 29 (20141022 / 29 = 694518). You can rewrite that as 2014/10/22. 29 is also the number of days in February during a leap year, and the next leap year is in 2016. If you add 2016 to 694518, you get 696534, which only has 8 divisors: 1, 2, 3, 6, 116089, 232178, 348267, and 696534. You may or may not have noticed at this point that there are 8 champions with "mysterious" champion pages. Of those champions, only 3 have names ending in vowels: Cassiopeia, Lissandra, and Twisted Fate. I have listed them in descending order in terms of the characters in their name (not including spaces): Twisted Fate (11), Cassiopeia (10), Lissandra (9). Being that Cassiopeia and Lissandra are thematically related (once-human women who were transformed after betraying an ally), we can add their numbers (19) and subtract Twisted Fate's (resulting in 8). Obviously, Riot keep pointing us back to the number 8. Guess how many letters there are in the word "ultimate?" That's right: 8! But given how many times they've thrown the number 8 at us, it can't just be that simple. There are currently 121 champions in League of Legends, and 121 / 8 = 15.125 or 15 remainder 1. When you list all of the champions in alphabetical order from Z-A, the 15th champion is Vi. So Vi will be getting the ultimate skin, but... What about that remainder of 1? If you go one champion further, you get to Vel'koz... The ultimate skin is going to be Vi with one Vel'koz on each hand, shooting electrical laser punches.

Also twisted fate, zed and hecarim all have slight modifications to their background images. twisted fates cards are blank except for the card in his hand, which has a new symbol. Zed has a "shadow" behind and above him that has color. Hecarim has some object behind his head.

brb, going to go cryptologist on this. Maybe champion numbers in hex? Oooooh, or maybe they have something slightly altered in their bios for another code.......or it could just be really simple and I'm overthinking this. We'll find out!

Confirmed "Death Fog" effect in backgrounds of 
Alterations to splash arts backgrounds of (Box behind head) (Cards blank, card he holds has symbol) (New shadowy figures top-right)
3) Possible alteration in various portions of the info pages. (How long has Eve been a rival of TF? Need confirmation on that) I'm a lore scrub.

... Where are you getting this from? I don't see any differences in the champions' splashes in the store or on PvP.net... Link pls
Edit: Oh shit, I actually looked at the top of the page and now I see it. Damn, that actually freaked me out a bit.
Any chance it could be an Ao Shin teaser? It looks like the clouds have lightning effects and so forth and I believe part of Ao Shin's concept was being a storm dragon mage type thing. Also some of the shadowy figures in splash appear to have wings and are flying
Edit: According to an earlier reveal Meddler said that "when Ionia faces its greatest crisis Ao Shin will appear". Could these champions with be ones who are planning something that threatens Ionia?
I would say Harrowing build up but whats the connection between Zed, Cass, and Liss? TF, LeBlanc, and Hec all have/are going to get Halloween skins, but again whats up with the other 3? i highly doubt we are going to be getting more Harrowing skins this year!
Xerath also has this on his page. Azir's background on the page is completely black and could be completely unrelated but I won't rule out the possibility just yet. They are all connected in that they have let their greed for power or wealth influence their decisions minus Hecarim. His lore also references the IoW so it needs revising anyways but he is an oddball right now in this.
If it's for harrowing it's odd that there is nothing on Soraka, she is going to be the Reaper this year.
Might really be Ao Shin.

She's now cursed by an artifiact in the Shadow Islands after employing Twisted Fate to investigate a lore that mentioned incredible power!

The card Twisted Fate is holding has what appears to be a Japanese-looking symbol. Ao Shin sounds like an Asian word, and Japan is in Asia.
While looking at his picture, I noticed the white cards around Twisted Fate also have different symbols in their corners. I can't guess what these mean as of now.
Zed's picture has a transparent version of himself behind him with what I can only describe as a red claw near his neck.
Also, Zed happens to have a skin with a storm/lightning theme.
Ao Shin to me looks like a storm/lightning dragon, which would explain the fog and the lightning effects behind it.
Thus, Ao Shin is the next champion and there will be a Japanese server.
Honestly how the hell do you guys even notice these things?

I think it's merely a teaser to another champion reveal (didn't they intend to do a Shadow Isles adc next?) or something related to a certain upcoming event. Since they already revealed the latest Harrowing skins (Soraka, Wukong, LeBlanc), and only one of those champions (LeBlanc) has a foggy background on their profile, it only raises more questsions.
I think it's very unlikely for them to release another bunch of Harrowing skins besides the three we know of, they're a little bit too lazy for that. I also can't comprehend how they would even justify another skin for Cass after the catastrophe that her rework was. No, we're most likely dealing with another champion here who's set to be revealed during Harrowing.
