I was just in a game. Did fairly well. As did everyone EXCEPT this fucking cho'gath. At around 28 minutes in the game. I as the jungler delegated blue buff to be more effective on our assassin Leblanc mid laner, rather than our front line tank cho'gath top-lane. Having seen that I gave the blue to the Leblanc after ferociously pinging that he was on the way to blue buff and saying that he wanted it. He proceeded, to mindlessly afk split push top and bot lane. Getting caught endlessly. Making this game a 4v5. We were steam rolling this shit. Had all towers down except for the two nexus turrets. He did this for roughly 25-30 minutes. Until he managed to snake the blue buff from Leblanc and then he grouped. Where he 4-5 shot by the enemy Vayne. Then Vayne proceeded to ruthlessly ass fuck the rest of my team. Everyone on my team reported him for this. This my fellow league players. Is why the league of legends community is the way it is. Because of dog shit children. That ruin the game for the rest of the people on their team. Because they did not get a fucking buff. The shit that this cho'gath pulled. which caused me and another player on my team to get demoted is the reason league of legends has the worst fucking community in gaming history. I used to think call of duty held that titled. But I have officially re-thought my opinion and given that title to League Of Legends. People like this Cho'gath. Should have their accounts permanently banned from this game. Because their passive aggressive bullshit. Fucks this game up. They do not deserve to play this fucking game.

So I'm torn on this.

On the one hand, I completely agree that he sounds like a spoiled brat and should be punished.

On the other hand though, it sounds like your whole team threw the match, not just him, and you're placing all the blame on him anyway.

If you were stomping the game as hard as you claim, then you should have still been able to take objectives. He's pushing bot and drawing 1 or 2 of them? Great, go to baron. Bait that shit, and if they don't come for you take it. If they do head your way just back off of it, and now Cho has some extra time to pressure bot. Baron not up? Go grab that top inhib. If you're all dramatically far ahead you should be able to manage a 4v4, especially if they send vayne bot to deal with Cho. If he's top same thing, except focus on bot inhib or elder. It sounds to me like you guys were afraid to fight without Cho, and as a result you let the enemy back into the game through cs in their base, and attacking Cho without the rest of you really doing anything to stop it.

There's also the fact you could have given Cho what he wanted. I know giving spoiled people what they want is only going to encourage them to do it again, but if you have control of your jungle and theirs, you have two blue buffs. So, who was getting the second blue? Were you, the jungler, taking it? Were you giving it to the support? The instant you see Cho being a little whiny baby, you should have talked to him. Don't call him names, don't insult him, just ask him why he's not grouping with the team. When he tells you it's because he wanted blue, explain that you feel it's better on a fed LB, but that if he groups with all of you, you'll help make sure he can take the enemy blue. Just like that you've most likely defused the entire situation. I'd still report the hell out of him after the game, but if I was serious about playing ranked, and some of us were at risk of being demoted, I'd never intentionally do whatever it is that's making Cho help the enemy team get back into the game.

So while I sympathise with your pain, and agree it's a problem, from what I've seen in your post, as a team the rest of you handled it poorly. As you said this is a team game, and in a team game you're only as strong as your weakest player. So don't tilt them further, help them, even if inside you just want to beat the shit out of them irl.

It's so easy when you weren't in the game to make assumptions like this, and I wish people would stop.

It is so, so easy to take advantage of a feeding/not trying splitpusher for your advantage and use it to come back into the game. You take your weakest teamfighter or the member who got rekt (Vayne in this example is a good candidate) and camp them in the lane vs the Cho. They get freefarm pushed into them and potentially kills, while your team can 4v4 their team with no threat of Cho'gath support. Even better, you put the toplaner with TP against cho'gath and 4v5 every teamfight.

It's super duper easy to look at a scenario and say "you should've just done better" but this game isn't in a vacuum, and how the enemy team responded is important. Someone solo splitpushing forever away from their team and never grouping up is what I PRAY FOR on the enemy team when we start losing, because it's so, so easy to stall the game out and force a throw from that position.

welp, i was in the same case as OP and i did as the player here replied in more of a case, and it worked.

I reported the shit outta those players, but diplomacy can lend itself on great lenghts.

He already addressed this. They would send the Vayne to feed off the Cho'Gath and the rest of Cho's team SHOULD have gone and taken objectives in the meantime.

This is a weak argument. Doesn't matter how much damage they dealt if that damage is not being dealt to the right person and at the right time. Some champions have devastating AoE or high single target nukes and you'd still lose the game because they are throwing it on the wrong people.

This arguments usually escalate because now, these people think they are obviously doing good because their damage is high and yet if that was the case, the game would have not ended in a loss.

If this behavior is his usual attitude, then he fully deserved the punishment. IMHO, Riot is pretty lax when it comes to punishments so if someone receives it, you crossed a very defined line that you were warned multiple times not to cross.

That's still disrupting gameplay. You got tilted so much that it influenced the game in a negative way. And this was a willing action - doing something in spite of what you need to do with the team.

Okay, so when does tilting not influence the game in a negative way? And it's also very different getting tilted because of your own mistakes, compared to getting tilted because of your teammates' decisions. The latter can very easily cause some people to feel less inclined to cooperate with their team. Just because the OP lost a game due to this doesn't mean the guy deserves a permaban.

And OP's decision in this matter definitely did not get the guy in question permabanned, based on his vote alone. The guy in question was already flagged in who knows how many games before and this game tipped the scales. You can report anyone at the end of the game whether they really deserve it or not but all reports are going through the validation. That means you can't spam report people and get them punished because you just don't like them.

There is such a thing where it's impossible to kill the enemy team right at their nexus turrets because at that point, they finally are all in one place and are fully capable of staving off your pushes and minions off their backs.

Especially in Vayne's case, where if no one focuses her or she just ducks between turrets and the rest of her team right on top of you, you can throw the game pretty easy and earn a long death timer that gets your single lane sodomized.

The thread wouldn't have existed if Cho didn't act like a two year old. I don't blame the op, this shit happens too much. I had a game 2 days where I died once to a Yasuo, I was 0/1/3 (jungling), and then the rest of the game my top laner, Olaf, went batshit crazy telling enemy to report me for feeding and proceeded to take my camps all while he was 0/3 or something. Toxic people are rampant in Bronze, no joke.

Yeah. I mean compared to some of the shit I've had on my team this Cho doesn't even sound that bad. Kind of surprised to see so many people so many people jumping on the bandwagon to hate on that Cho, when I get people that go AFK just because I didn't gank them before 10 minutes and they fed their lane 1v1 or dying because they keep shoving their lane and overextending.

Just lost my promos because my ADC kennen (you read that right) was pissed off that I was not ganking his lane. He was 1 level behind, pushed and with at lest 2/3 of his hp missing all the time he called for a gank, while the Cait/Blitz combo had full health.

When I explained that it was better to gank mid that was already a bit ahead to increase the advantage to then do a 4 man gank on his lane he went ape shit and disconnected.

because "their team is behind, I'm gonna splitpush!" is totally fine, but "I didn't get blue buff, fuck you guys I'm not grouping!" is not.

It's all about intent. Riot has access to chat logs too and I find it highly unlikely that Cho'Gath just quietly ran it down top and bot.

Because he intentionally attempted to screw his team over by splitpushing to death. Take note that part of a splitpusher's job is to just draw attention, not die trying. They also tend to be able to split push hard, and outside of Cho's E he doesn't really have much easy waveclear unless he wants to starve himself. Champions that do very good in splitpushing, such as Tryn or Fiora, do it very well without using their resources, as well as are very good in dueling situations.

Not to mention the reasoning for this too. If he had intent from the start, sure, but he did it because he didn't get Blue buff. Not only is it childish to abandon a whole team over not getting blue, but there were members of the team who needed it even more, such as LeBlanc.

Cho is not helpless as a splitpusher. Highest base AD in the game, high HP, and decent peel (especially when an enemy is on top of him). On top of that, his first item was Luden's Echo, one of the fastest items in the game, and his waveclear is actually pretty good... not sure why you're downplaying that. All his skills are AoE except his ulti, which is still encouraged to use on minions to beef himself up.
Cho did fine. His end line was 12/10/7, meanwhile Cait's was 14/12/8. If he splitpushed a bit, it sure didn't effect his score much, as he'd at least be lacking assists from the rest of them (particularly with the "we were holding up quite well 4v5" claim). Looking at the game's progress, he almost never took a death without getting a kill meanwhile, and often contributed in the same timeline the 4 were going at it.

I see too much toxicity to believe anything at face value. The fact of the matter is that his stats don't show blatant team disregard, even if splitpushing were considered to be that. I can't say for certain what happened, but looking at the game's length and team's progress throughout the game, he might have missed one big battle toward the end, possibly holding a lane, and suddenly he's the sickness that caused the loss. HIs K/A is 19 total, and the rest of the team is 23, 22, 23, 19. That is not team disregard in my book, especially with the power squad sharing assists like mad, supposedly.

Nah, the REAL problem is that people don't report.

You get somebody assisting enemy team, ask for a report, and they say "Why should I? They are helping me." As if that makes them useful. You get somebody toxic as fuck, ask for a report, and they say "But he's the best player on your/our team." As if that makes them less toxic.

I hope everybody who says shit like that gets those players on their teams.

Fun fact for you : Only 1 report is needed per game. Why? because people(Premades) would bully others into bans by having 4-5 bans on one guy each game

Asking for reports is reportable in itself and you really shouldn't do it. Just keep reporting and keep your account clean, and those guys will get banned.

Important to note that you only get the notification that they got punished if the game you were part of was the last one needed to get them banned

I checked the game and this cho was not feeding at all, he died less times than the others and did as much dmg as his adc.

He had a bad game, I hope he dont get banned for having a bad game with toxic teammates.

We just had a yasuo who intentionally went into 1 vs 5 because our kha zix couldnt gank his lane , not because he didnt want to , our kha did fairly well at the whole match but he couldnt gank for yasuo cause he was a piece of shit flamer + pushing his lane so hard , and never wards while we were trying our best to win , that douchebag yasuo intentionally played so bad because he did poorly in laning phase and blamed kha who was doing pretty well and did not admit that it was his fault that kha couldnt help him. piece of shit players

I had a game today where Yasuo player refused to play with Lux support in the team. He intentionally fed the enemy. Intentionally means he went to auto attack enemy and ran under turret on each lane multiple times meanwhile raging in the chat. The game duration was nearly 40 min, you can imagine the death count. I did not win that ranked game.

I do not expect a league player to have a healthy state of mind. You should be pleasantly surprised if they do.
