Open letter to Riot with regards to the Rune Refund

Dear Riot Games,

I love League of Legends. It is a fun game that I have enjoyed for over four years now. I have spend many hundreds of dollars playing this game to support it, however there were certain items in your shop that, whether I wanted to or not, needed to be bought to play on an even playing field for a competitive game. Runes & Rune Pages. Your recent decision to refund players for the pages and runes while you update the system is nice, however as someone who spend ~35-40 dollars on rune pages just to level the playing field I feel like this decision to refund people who spent premium currency with the freemium currency is akin to highway robbery. I will liken this exchange to another recent blunder by a clothing company. I was in a city, with my mother, when she saw this clothing store. We both agreed to look inside at the sale that was advertised on the window. My mother was hoping to get a good deal on a suit as I should have more than one. We went in, bought the suit and returned home to another state. When we went to the same brand store, just in our state I was told the suit did not fit and it should be refunded. What you are trying to do is refund my suit, but instead using a different currency from the one I used. What this feels like to me would be the suiting store say, "We can refund you, but only in chase reward points"

I do not want chase reward points for my money. I want a simple refund of the currency I spent.

Same I spent money on my rune pages. I could care less about the ip on runes.
