Expecting fps drops in team fights

Should I consider setting my fps to 30? I am thinking in a scenario that I am playing at lowest settings at 1080p by 1920p, where fps starts throttling during team fights. I just bought this laptop off newegg a week ago at $599 (Update newegg gave me a gift card for the price dropping within a week after I purchased it which was pretty cool), I am expecting fps drops from 60 to maybe 35 (hopefully not that low) at worst, should this effect my gameplay much? I haven't opened the laptop from the box it was shipped in yet.
