Is there a drop in ranked cus ppl want to remain in <insert division here> V?

Usually ranked at the end of the season is a complete mess, especially in silver and bronze. Tons of people are rushing to try to either get out of bronze or hit gold. It's also filled with higher-ranked friends of those people trying to help carry them up with smurfs. It all makes it more of a cluster than it already was the rest of the season.
