Edit (clarification): Barrier to entry for new players is getting enormous. I can't convince my friends to start playing LoL anymore because they are overwhelmed by the 130+ champions they have to learn in order to even know how to fight against those champions.
Dabrick011 votesThey have so many different teams for that. One team is balance, another team is reworks (There are two teams for that), and champion concept and execution team.
The more champs we have, the more diverse the game can be.
XSpiritusX1 votesI understand that, but the barrier to entry for new players is getting huge because of the new champion releases. The additional complexity also makes it exceptionally difficult for those in charge of balancing and reworks do to their jobs effectively.

But there are two sides to every coin.
If you add more champs, the barrier for entry can seem daunting, but it would end up offering more champs that fit more playstyles. Maybe someone who is trying the game finds that Camille is the perfect champ to play. There is a higher chance that someone would want to stick with the game if they find a champ that they like.
LGzSynergy1 votesI agree on that I was one of does players who wasn't satisfied with the champions until Riven came, Riven is the only playstyle that I enjoy playing the most, there are players who find it a hard time choosing a player, that's why they decided to make new champions so players can enjoy at the most League of Legends.
