I have never played against another Ryze since his 5.8 rework. Therefore, I don't know how others play him, and cannot improve. Perhaps someone who is skilled at Ryze can add me and 1v1 in custom game to teach me?

Level 1-4 just poke and conserve mana Lv 5-6 is your opportunity to kill Tear, into roa into fh or void etc,
I play like I'm passive and do no dmg Once I know I can kill him I just go ham Then surpryze wqre repeat but prioritize q spam
You need to use spells effectively Like you want to maximize e if you fight under enemy minions And moving between your spells to stick onto enemy
You can have bad games and feed But just remember ryze comes back twice as stronger ( he scales with items)
Late game you are Tanky worth archangel And use flash to dodge skill shots or jump onto the adc / mid
You will be constantly harassed for being unskilled happens in most of my games People just hating on those ryze players
