My MMR is too high. I'm a silver player being matched against golds, platinums, and diamonds in teambuilder without many (or any) of them on my team.

How is this even possible.

Teambuilder has it's own separate MMR if I recall correctly. That, and it skews it's MMR results for people when they're playing a champion for the first time or playing in a role they're less familiar with. All of this results in some very odd matchmaking there, which makes me feel like it's a less reliable gauge of MMR than Normals.

You get better and then you play with people who are in normals who probably dont play normals often.

so their ranked mmr is high but their normal mmr might be 1000 games old.

Teambuilder uses ranked MMR? This is a legitimate question, I don't know anything about it.
