Riot- TOYS, not "collectibles" PLEASE

Rito, I understand you want your products to be quality and reflect well on you. Everyone does. BUT PLEASE. You've been promising greater price ranges for your products, and you definitely haven't delivered that yet.

The cheapest items I can find on your website are posters for $15, just beating out your mousepad for $18.

Firstly, who pays almost twenty bucks for a mousepad? They give mousepads away for free on my campus when the local businesses come visit and want you to buy their shit. Secondly, who really pays $15 for a poster? Because at that price, I'm not just gonna tape it on the wall. I'm gonna want a frame so it doesn't get ruined, and even if it's the cheapest frame I can find that just adds to the price. Plus, then I have to hang it, etc, etc. And many apartment complexes and dorms have specific rules about how you hang things (In none of the dorms at my alma mater were you permitted to put nails in the wall. You were charged for damages for that.) So, you gonna tape your $15 poster to the wall, eventually ruining it? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Can you please put some time into finding actually affordable items to put in your shop? Something that's, oh, maybe ten bucks instead of twenty five?

And here comes my title- Could we please just have reasonably priced (lower quality is 100% acceptable) toys instead of all this haughty "collectibles" shit? I could go out and buy a decently-made funko figurine right now for seven bucks. SEVEN. There's no way in hell I'm spending $25 on one measly toy. You know what I expect for $25? One of these:

Not some kiddie chibi thing. Especially when, to be honest, the stylization could have been a bit better on the Nautilus and Garen.

This could be so easy. Stickers, buttons, anything. What about those cute little stress poros I see from time to time? Slap them on your website for five bucks, and I would buy like three in a heartbeat.

And if you're not gonna deliver on affordable trinkets, stop promising them and admit that your products are for serious collectors. Thanks.

I want an articulated Cho'Gath toy now. That'd be so cool.

But yeah, the prices really are rather sucky. I wanted to get one, but it would have cost me €30 including shipping and they don't even ship to my country anyway.

I think there should be small, $10 figures that are about the quality of Nintendo's Amiibo figurines for all champions. Wouldn't that be cool to fill a bookshelf with a small figure of every champion?

Where are these posts on MY thread? All I got on my thread were all of the diehard collectors out there saying "$25 for 50 cents of plastic is a steal!!"

Of COURSE there are kids with rich parents out there. And OF COURSE there are 30 year olds and 40 year olds out there with a job, no wife or girlfriend, who have nothing better to spend their money on but league of legends and collectible figurines.

But the point I was making, is $25 is NOT a suitable price for the majority age-range that plays league of legends

Most players are in highschool to college. I'm guessing the age range fits 14-24. College students and high school students are broke.

The reason the RP system works is because throwing down $5-10 for rp is easily affordable to that age-range. Of course some people spend $100 on rp, but that's because they have a job and nothing better to spend their money on.

Just saying, if the figurines were dropped down to $10-15 from $25, that would open up the market to the bulk of league players

Yeah, I didn't even look at the shipping. I bet it's a pretty penny for those posters, too, assuming they come in a roll.

Exactly! If they're gonna charge that much for a figurine, it should be like a badass action figure or something! I don't get why you'd pay so much for something that looks like it should come out of a gashopon machine.

You have to look really close to even see why those figures are so much money. The style definitely cheapens it.

On another note, the whole collectibles industry is a sham, just like the diamond industry.

Because they hype these things and SAY they have prestige, they add some invisible value to what otherwise, should only cost $3-5 - given the cost of materials and level of craftmanship involved.

Yeah, and I think RP works better because I can frame it with the game as a whole (Not "Shit I just spent $20 for DJ Sona, and it's not even a tangible object", but "I really enjoy League and I've never paid anything for it. I would easily pay $20 for a game of this quality, so I'll just buy this skin and support League as a whole that way")

If I'm actually buying an object I want it to be worth my money. And even beyond the figurines, there are no products that cater to League's brokest fans (which I'm sure is a good portion of them).
