and naturally I lost some LP and got a 30 minute ban... which reminded me This system is kinda flawed and unfair

Why should just ME be punished for trying to save ourselves from most likely losing 20 LP when someone picks a "troll" champ that will 99% lose that lane I have tried Ivern top before and it is SO bad... Why is there no option to surrender before the game even starts Why is there no option to FF at 0 Why can't we just vote surrender in champ select

if 4/5 of us vote yes to "Do you want to abandon champ select resulting in 3 LP loss and a 5 minute ban for all teammates?" is so much better than waiting 20 minutes to ff and lose 20 LP...

who cares let people play what they want. So what if you played Ivern top and it "sucked"? Opinions exist and people are better than other people at playing different champions. This is why certain champions have a steep curve in winrates when people have more than one games played on a champion. Because you play a champion once, don't 1 v 9 carry and just give the fuck up without trying to learn on your own.

You don't know for a fact that player was going to lose their lane.

Granted, I am not in favor of brand new champions being played in ranked matches, but who is to say what the threshold of time needs to pass before they start.

This is not to say that Ivern top is any good, but lets look at the potential benefits of it.

He is designed to be built healthy/tanky. He is pretty much guaranteed a free blue/red buff past level 5. 3 of his 4 abilities offer cc He can juggle his Bushmaker passive to gain a range advantage on his melee opponents. He has a free ward-like ability for safety. He has a shield that slows. He can root enemies and allow for a free dash from allies when they gank. He has Daisy...

Tower Dives
2v1 enemy laners
Counter gank
Solo Rift Herald

There are probably others...

And these are only benefits for the laning phase.

I dodged one the other day.

When I re-queued, I ended up getting the exact same player and couldn't ban anyone.

We managed to win, but the only reason was because I managed to successfully snowball our bottom lane (who I recall was Jinx and Brand) very hard.
