BRING BACK WINTER SUMMONERS RIFT!

i love the idea but its important to remember that there hasn't been an updated SR version and that seems like it would take a bunch of work.

I've never been here for the winter version of SR, being born in December, I like this a lot.

I think it's pretty clear.

knowing what Riot has done so far, I'd probably expect at most snowdown minions (but only if you have a snowdown skin).

and as the map spawns its not the soothing "Welcome to Summoners Rift" but Braum's voice announcing:

"WINTER IS COMING"

Bump! I remember the winter map from a few years ago, it was awesome. WE NEED THIS!

I think they responded a long time ago that they stopped doing this because it caused issues with things like particles and ground indicators being hard to see in some instances and providing an unfair advantage.

One that comes to mind is Steel Legion Lux already has harder to see skill shots, and on a white playing field it'd be even worse.

This has been talked about tons of times. Riot doesn't make new maps because they dont make them money and it takes a long time for a map to be made and placed in the game and tested for bugs.

Considering the absolutely amazing Howling Abyss revamp for Bilgewater, complete with weird sperm poros or whatever they were, I don't think adding some snow to summoners rift will be that bad. If you 'shoveled' the lanes, they wouldn't have to be much different color from how they are now. Some cardinals and deer, and snow on the trees (or even decorations and snow on the trees!) would go a long way. Riot has shown us time and time again that they are capable of releasing absolutely amazing content. After this Harrowing/Halloween event, I think a snowy rift is the only thing that will placate the angry masses.

Not to mention the fact that just because something is inherently unfair (hard to see particles/skillshots) doesn't mean Riot won't do it. How is One For All, ARAM, URF, etc balanced? It's not. Just leave the normal rift in ranked and replace the one in normals. Or make a second summoner's rift mode like they did during bilgewater for the seasonal map changes.

Started in season 3 and never got to play Winter Summoner's Rift RIOT PLEASE WTFFF

After my last game, even though it was a win, it was simply disappointing (not vs AI). However, seeing Summoner's Rift covered in snow brought a smile to my face.

If Riot still has a head on their shoulders, they should be putting the finishing touches on a frosty Summoner's Rift for a December 1st release.

Last time they made holiday maps way back in season one, people complained about URF taking out banshees veils on WW players during the harrowing, and others complained about the winter SR being way to bright to play on?
