Anyone want to give me a reason why if the client crashes or i have to restart my computer to get back in game why I should help my team win when I'm going to get punished for it anyways? I have had times where that has happened.. I come back and help my team win and even sometimes carry them but if i'm going to get punished for the 5 minutes i was away why should I spend the next 20- 30 -40 minutes helping my team win? I'm already flagged and getting punished.. you just encouraged me to afk the rest of the game.

Did good 'ol Dr. Lyte not put that into consideration? Because it happens all the time were people afk and don't come back because they have already been flagged and there really is no point in coming back to the game to help them win when you will be punished regardless.

There were times where I had trouble getting into my games and I came back and still did pretty good,(And I haven't been punished) Apologized to my team about it. Sometimes your team can be very understanding and say "All Good, least you came back"

I think the actual coming back looks better then never showing up the all known term of "Better late then never"

Edit: Me and a team were fighting a 4v5 because our Wukong never came. we all figured it was a client crash.. but it wasent till 25+ minutes he came back. the teams were pretty even at that point and we just told wukong to stay in base and collect farm and sponge a few levels..

Being that both teams were close as a 4v5... then the wukong coming back... Idk if im right to think this but perhaps the fact that wukong came back sorta tipped the tide for us to win.

If people want to be selfish there's nothing riot can do about it. After a few minutes it doesn't matter much anyway. imo preventing the next AFK is more important than a mostly futile attempt to salvage the current game. After a few minutes the chances a game can be recovered go down exponentially.

An individual leave is insignificant. Shit happens, but none of that should be happening often enough to get punished. If it is you need to be looking at what is causing you to leave/DC so much, not blaming riot for punishing you for ruining other peoples games.

I have no kids but I have my own responsibilities. But I don't let them interfere with other peoples games.

Yes, everyone leaves games occasionally. I have before, and I probably will again. Like I said shit happens. But if its happening enough to get punished for then you need to look at whats causing so many interruptions and fix it before queing again.

If there is any meaningful chance that I will have to leave in the next hour or so then I simply don't play. Like you I like to come home and play league to relax. And I don't want those games ruined with AFKs. I'm not gonna be selfish and roll the dice hoping that X doesn't happen.

My suggestion would be, yes If you are unable to reliably dedicate at least an hour of uninterrupted time then you should not play a game that is so reliant on you being present 100% of the time.

In your own description of a weeks play you played 18 games(using 3 for "few") of which you left 3. Thats 16.66%. If everyone left at that rate there would almost never be a game that was 5v5 from start to finish. Do you really think that's acceptable? Would you continue playing if every game was 4v5?

Also it doesn't stack up against you just because you play more games. The percentage of games that you left is what is important, not the number of games.

Leaverbuster does not only exist to target rage quiters. It is to reduce all leaving, regardless of the reason.
