If it's a threat based on location, I'd tell someone in her community: a parent, law enforcement, or a neighborhood watch, especially if they're relatively close and making a plan to find her home. She'd probably have to be the one to do it, though.
Mainly, though, report and then block the people sending the messages, and tell her that she shouldn't try to get in contact with them again.

Buy some mace, and avoid being alone when possible. Getting a gun is also an option but learn how to use it.
Encourage your friend to send a support ticket.
