If you break the meta, but communicate to your teammates...

Can you get reported for it? I mean, Riot SAYS they don't enforce the meta, but it's gotten me thinking. If you explicitly tell your teammates what you're doing (I'm doing duo top/jungle with my buddy, I'm doing ap Miss Fortune mid, Sion support, etc), can they force you to follow meta or do they need to respect your wishes once you CLEARLY communicate your plan.

And for normals, I mean. Ranked is stressful enough.

People can report you for anything they want.

Will you get in trouble for it? No. You can play any champ in any role as long as you are making an effort to work with your team and win.

Related things you might get in trouble for:

  1. Completely useless builds. "AP Darius" or "6 zeals Teemo" will get you banned.
  2. Arguing excessively with your team about your build, even if they started it. If they're being jerks, just mute them.
  3. Not trying to win. I'm not talking "OMG he kept splitpushing when I told him to group up", I mean things like refusing to go anywhere near enemy champs or objectives, or baiting your teammates into engages and then running away without attacking the enemies.

Just do what you have to do to have fun without giving up too much of other people's fun. This is still a game we play to enjoy ourselves in.
