I created the above topic on Discourse forum, which relates to Riots (poor?) decision to choose this format over the typical forum set up.

Why in the world would they choose a comment style board format when it promotes 0 discussion and the old forums have proved user-voted formats dont work?

For now, they use Reddit because it's easier for them to communicate information to a global audience. When this goes live, they will theoretically use this instead. Anyone who thinks that their negative opinion matters is probably a little delusional- we must bow to our Reddit-loving overlords if we want to hear news straight from them. I wouldn't be so bitter if they even acknowledged that a lot of people hate this format, but the only response so far is: "Try it, you'll probably like it once you get used to it! Let us know if you don't!". And then there's not a single word about it, and we who dislike it are ignored.

i think the unfortunate truth is that the majority of people who play this game simply have no idea whats good for it.
