Who should I main?

So I've been playing Yasuo a lot lately but I want to main somebody else. I've been looking at Malzahar , and I like his abilities. I want mostly an assassin that can do burst damage, most likely a "glass cannon." I am open to all ideas, however. Thanks in advance, -Tez

whoop, your post wasn't showing so my response looks stupid. There are plenty of options you can take, but they vary in how you should play them. Zed is a great option that can fight a lot of mids and has high mobility and 1v1 capabilities. He is great at diving a team and eliminating squishies. There are some "magic assassins" as well. Akali has high mobility and can jump around in a fight as well as use her shroud to make fighting her difficult. However she is really only good at taking on one opponent at a time. Ahri doesn't have the single target burst like the other two, but has a strong CC move and more AOE team fight abilities. Fizz is also very mobile and is great at killing single targets, but has the benefit of his AOE ult.

There are also other champs that aren't exactly assassins, but are able to move around and deal a lot of damage. They are a bit more teamfight oriented, but also excel at killing single targets. Wukong, Fiora, and Master Yi all come to mind.

You honestly have a lot of options as for who you could main that can assassinate and deal tons of burst damage. I will tell you that glass cannon is not always the best way to go. You want to be able to survive some damage otherwise if the enemy team is smart, they will just kill you every time you dive in for a kill.

I actually don't believe in "maining" any one champion. I like to play a lot of champions, and of course have a few favorites, but I choose favorites per role. i.e. my favorite ADCs are probably Sivir, Varus, Caitlyn, and Vayne. It's too easy for someone to counter you if you only play a few champions, so it's best to get good with a handful of them per role. I can usually carry a game as Ahri mid, but if someone bans Ahri, and mid is all that's left, I know that I have one or two champs that I can fall back on and still do relatively well instead of just going in with a random champ and feeding kills or just plain not being a help to my team. I'd say (ideally) try and get used to (and good with) at least 3 champions per role/lane, and try and have knowledge of your matchups with those champions against popular picks for your lane. I know that Yasuo can be annoying to face as Ahri, but I also know that with strategic use of her Ultimate, I can almost always win a trade. On the other hand, he should know that strategic use of his Wind Wall to block my charm if my ult is down, will likely win him the trade. You can read online about these things, but I prefer to find them out by personal experience, since I know how I personally can deal with the situation.

Thanks everyone for the replies, but I decided I am not going to main a champion. But choose favorites per role as Divinity suggested.
