Riot is giving us all these cool cooperative champions like T.K. and Kalista. Yet we have no voice chat to actually communicate in real time.

Riot Games has recently invested 30 million dollars in Curse. While it's not being announced as a partnership, it is quite easy to guess that it may very well be precisely about incorporating Curse Voice into LoL.

Built in voicechat is the worst. As mentioned above, Riot with Curse will probably implement voice chat, but it will not be forced upon us, as you'll most likely have the option to enable it or disable it. Never to hear some dude with bad English try to speak and communicate via it. I know I'll never enable it in the future.

If there was voice chat, you'd get whiners and trollers and cussers. Ugh. I would never be able to play the game in front of family again...

Theyve explained why before. Theyve done testing with a voice chat system before. And according to their testing players have a tendency to display more toxicity in games with a voice chat system. This is their reason why they wont do it
