@Riot - Better stats than KDA?

Was talking about how KDA stats can sometimes lie to you about how the game is going. Was wondering if we could get better stats in the Riot API to look at (like objective participation) to better measure individual player impact. Here are two examples of easy metrics that are often more useful:

Kill participation (higher is better):

( your kills + your assists )/ team kills

If you look at that for every player on your team, you can pull out how well or poorly teamwork is going. There's other stuff you'd want to look at too (Maybe you have a split pusher).

Objective Participation (higher is better):

(your objectives taken + your objective assists) / team objectives taken

With objectives being towers, dragons, barons, inhibs, Killing Spree shutdown kills/assists. I would classify an assist as anyone that does any damage to a taken objective. Those two things tell a more vivid picture of who's winning the game and working effectively to destroy the enemy Nexus (more than KDA anyway).

There's probably other stuff too. Just wanted to show two simple ones that are pretty easy to get at. Anyone else have thoughts for more player skill metrics to look at?

I would actually like it if we got a point system, similar to what exists in Team Fortress 2. Points are given not only for kills and assists, but also for working with your team and securing objectives.
