The dodge timer

Both times I have had to dodge today were because of some troll. Now I can't play for 13 more minutes. I think there is something wrong here. The latest dodge was some guy coming in and right after he picks his jungle lane, he says he has gtg and that someone else needs to dodge because he has dodged too many times already. I highly doubt this is a true story and just some troll making someone miss out on game time. no one else would dodge and the guy said he was just gonna afk at fountain if no one dodged for him. In my opinion, the time for the dodge shouldn't be made longer, but if you dodge so many times in one day, then you get timed out or banned for the rest of the day or something. And so many dodges in a week or month gets you perma banned. I'm just tired of people dodging all the time and finally getting to play a game for once 20 minutes later (exaggeration of course).

you need to be able to pre-queue as characters/roles
your team should be able to vote boot someone like that (trolls, feed and afk claimers) out in pregame.
you shouldn't get teamed up with people from your ignore list

I agree one hundred percent, the dodge timers are even longer these days. I get punished because i dont like loosing a game before it even starts because of toxic players and trolls? i am currently sitting at bronze 2. and i am desperetly trying to get out of bronze. these long que times are just not fair to those of us pickier players who actually enjoy a good game of league. I really hope this is looked over by one of u riot employees even tho i know im going to be ignored. thanks anyways tho

I get the idea of a dodge timer but lets take a look at the case study of ARAM. If someone dodges an ARAM, as of today 2/1/15 the dodge timer lasts a full 15 minutes. I'm not a player that frequently dodges, usually its in the event of a 'oh crap my friend just got on, I should unqueue but oh! crap! ermahgerd I'm in hero select meow :{'

Now the average length of an ARAM game is around the 15-30 minute mark depending on the amount of melee vs. poke stack b/w the two teams. If people dodge just strip their rerolls, don't make them wait half to a full game length to get into queue for another. Maybe also consider capping the IP boost for the next 5 games or so after a dodge. Just food for thought, I understand that dodge timers exist for a reason but I think it may be worth considering alternate methods or a hierarchy. Maybe something like this: -first dodge: strip rerolls, no dodge timer -second dodge: cap IP boost for the next five games, no dodge timer -third dodge: cap IP boost for the next ten games, 15 minute dodge timer

I don't know I'm just a lowly player but maybe an alternate structure like this would be effective for preventing dodges but not so unforgiving time-wise if it's an accidental or ermahgerd dodge. :)

I agree, this ban timer for dodging a queue is an absolute crock. I support being able to vote kick someone. I'm not going to waste 40 minutes of my time with whomever is last pick and doesn't like what's left so they instead troll and flame the entire time.

Btw, 2nd dodge in a 24 hour period netted me a 25 min. ban. Not sure wtf riot is smoking.

well, I did my first dodge. 2 trolls in the lobby. our 1st pick had picked mundo, and troll 1 bans mundo ... never mind that he would likely have been banned by the enemy team, but that's beside the point. Second troll states they are going to afk for the 1st 15 minutes. well, sorry folks, dodging at that point is not a bad thing, it is honorable. It should be commended in fact.

I just dodged a game because of a power blink. Logged back in and I have a 15 min wait time before I can go into another game. 15 mins, for my first dodge in months. Why?
