Launcher still calculating differences

I've been up since 8:30 am trying to update league for the new patch and it's currently almost 11 and it's not only still calculating the differences in files but it restarted itself.

I'm not looking for help I'm just whining. I wanted to get into game and buy my friend a gift and it's taken 2 hours+ to update league? Is anyone else encountered this or is it just me?

edit; it got up to about 24k files and then said "oops error occurred gotta start over again!" so now it's starting over....

edit (one hour later); still calculating differences...
