Tribunal.

Why is it still in recess? It's been that way pretty much since the end of season 2 and it's sort of concerning. I know I read somewhere that while the Tribunal is down, Riot does the reports themselves, but that means there's less of them doing other things like bugfixes or finishing that damn new Rift layout. Not to mention I liked going to the tribunal and reviewing cases. I liked the thought that I was actually doing something positive for a community that is swollen and red with toxicity that seems to fester and spread... ...and the IP that you got for each case definitely didn't hurt. But now it's gone. It's been gone for a long while, and I have no clue when, or even if, it's coming back.

It's been 5 months. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/player-behavior/upgrading-tribunal Either they're upgrading for season 5 or decided to get rid of it entirely.

Nobody knows when the Tribunal will be back. I'm willing to bet that not even Lyte knows himself yet. His team might just be bogged down in testing new systems to compliment the Tribunal such as the chat restrictions, and the recently introduced ranked restrictions.

But a few key points to remember if you decide to complain about it some more:

  1. Player Behavior is a separate team from Map Design and Gameplay Design. Likewise, the people who design new maps (or updating old ones into flashy new ones) don't work on Player Behavior Initiatives or champion bugfixes.

  2. While they do sometimes work together to help make new things become a reality, the team with the new idea probably won't know how to make all the pieces fit into the game without help.

  3. Someone who is a jack of all trades will more than likely be only a small help compared to someone specialized in their field.

  4. I can't imagine Lyte being able to take his knowledge and degree in Psychology and instantly transforming it into knowledge of game balance and design. I certainly couldn't take my experience in grocery retail and try to pass it off as experience in Computer Technology.

You should take some time and dig up some information on the subject. It would certainly help give you an idea of what they are up to with that.
