Guys. If my friend is telling me not to date her friend. (She likes me)
What's your advice?
(I'm aware of where I'm n saying this, I just want some advice)
EDIT: I'm going to give names (Susan is the girl that doesn't want me to date Elise. Elise being the girl that likes me)

Which 'she' likes you? The one who's telling you not to do it or the one you want to date?
She also ought to give you good reasons. If she doesn't then you maybe shouldn't listen to her.
I guess it all depends. But if you're close with your friend, you should probably show her more loyalty than you do to league of legends boards.
So I'd go the route of finding out why she doesn't want you to do it before making any decisions that could affect your friendship.

Find out what level of crazy she is, then ask yourself what kind of crazy you can live with, because they're all crazy. Sometimes the good stuff can cancel out some bad stuff. Example....gets jealous sometimes....but does butt stuff.
I guess a lot of it depends on your relationship with "Susan". Are you close with "Susan" or not?
The other part of this is the reality that Susan may try to put obstacles in the path of your relationship with Elise, and may poison Elise against you. But these are risks only you can weight against the reward.

So, the way I see it, there's a few possibilities.
A: Susan likes you, but can't tell you for whatever reason.
B: Susan is possessive of both you and her other friend (or just one of the two), doesn't want to lose the time and attention either of you give her.
C: Susan knows both of you, and knows that it just wouldn't work out, and is trying to save you the trouble down the road.
... but, instead of going around it all like that, I would honestly just ask Susan why she doesn't want you to date Elise. Chances are, she could have a very good reason. The best way to understand other people is, surprisingly, talking to them.
The way I see it, its pretty simple.
If you date her, there's a considerable probability of adult style entertainment. If you don't date her, there won't be (with her). From that point of view, its generally advantageous to pursue an offer.
The key here really is this: What is Susan offering? Is there a better offer?
If the answer is Nil (she offers nothing but tries to deny you) then just quote Zed to her:
"DO NOT DENY ME!"
And go date.

My advice is to not take advice from forums full of just as many immature people as there are mature people. The fact you're doing this already the wrong choice to make.
