Why was his windwall coded like that then? I mean, sure, keep saying it takes timing and skill to use properly, but it really isn´t when its coding fully nulifies said skill.
I'd say, it was necessary to make it function consistently, that is, so projectiles wouldn't go straight through it, due to lag, for example.
I can accept a thin windwall that only blocks projectiles coming at it from the front, not the back, but its current state, it´s a case of incompetence, really. And fully deserves a higher cooldown.
From a logical standpoint, it should block projectiles from all sides, since the wind is blowing upwards.
The 'x takes skill to use properly' argument just poofs into dust when the code for the ability clearly indicates that there is no true skill involved in its proper use.
That's true, but not for Yasuo, really. In the end without CDR Windwall is one of the highest cooldown non-ultimate abilities and Yasuo's skillcap is leaning heavily on his other basic bread'n'butter abilities, as Windwall won't save him, if he miscalculates his dash.
Simple solutions for the issue, really.
Keep it the way it is, but increase the cooldown.
Recode it partially, allowing to keep the live cooldown.
I sure wouldn't mind it being recoded_(along with abilities like Annie and Akali's Qs or Ezreal and Nami's ults)_, but knowing Riot, Antarctica is going to melt before that.
Riot's trying to fix some things about some champions like they´re putting a band-aid on a dam that´s entirely cracked and ready to burst apart.
Aren't they always?
An item gets buffed, champions buying it become overbearing, champions get nerfed, then again, then the item gets nerfed, champions become worthless for years.
They band-aid, because fixing the problem would mean they were wrong the whole time.
