Deleted Forum Thread
I really should have chose a better thread name... :c
Now, I'm not one to complain much, But...
I was just informed that I had a thread titled "@Riot whatever you're doing to the firewall error, you're making it worse" in the "Report a bug" thread. The notification telling me my thread had been deleted said something along the lines of "Make sure you post threads in the appropriate boards. You may review the Culture and Etiquette within the Guidelines for each board to determine which is best suited for your content." I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure that "Report a bug" is the exact spot for that thread.
That's not even what bothers me. Obviously, Riot is having issues with their server. That's a given, due to the mass amounts of threads saying that there's a firewall error. The fact that this issue is yet to be resolved, AND IS IN FACT BEING MADE WORSE, is what frustrates me. Now, don't get me wrong, I love League. It is by far my favorite online PvP game, but Riot really needs to get their act together.
Let's be real.
There's been server issues consistently since practically the initial release. In 2013, Riot made somewhere around $620 million. That is plenty of money to keep a server running properly as well as hire people to fix the problems. I can only imagine how EUW players feel. With the amount of money Riot makes just from this game, it's unacceptable for their game to run so terribly (This isn't even including the toxic community.) I mean, I have no right to tell someone that they're running their own game improperly, that's not my place... BUT I can say, Riot isn't really concerned with fixing the issues the player base is constantly complaining about. I'm not saying that running a popular world-wide game is easy, because it's not, but Riot has the resources to keep their main source of income (League of Legends) running smoothly and it's not being done well.
Back to the heart of the matter, you should be focusing on the problems at hand instead of deleting completely relevant threads. Don't waste your resources when there is a major issue to be fixed. Honestly, at the moment you're just making the firewall error worse. It went from a few minor disconnects back in 4.19, to many disconnect issues in almost every game.
Riot, I love what you do. I love League, and I love the dedication you have to running the game... But you really need to figure out what you're doing or else you're going to crash and burn, I don't want to see that. I wish you the very best of luck in fixing the issue, and I ask that you* legitimately listen* to the community and at least try to adhere to our requests (for example, the thread about the Cassiopeia rework that was extremely popular for a while.)
