A Diamonds Goal In League Of Legends

Very recently I hit Diamond 5. Now that I am here, I've had some time to reflect on my gameplay and how I got here. After watching replays and playing games I have come to realize that my skills are hardly on par with my elo, though some of that, I hope, can be contributed to the fact that the difference between Platinum 1 and Diamond 5 is quite large. That said, I think the main reason I have been winning so much lately is my attitude. Because I know I have a good chance of feeding or not carrying with kills, I have developed a new strategy, almost sub-consciously; my recent goal has been to be the person on the team that everyone likes. While I DEFINITELY know how angering it can be when you have a feeding bot lane, or a mid laner who simply cannot land his ults, I have begun to realize that staying positive and kind toward your team mates is the best way to play league. Not only do I find myself having more fun every game, but I find that people compliment my play and give me pointers on how to improve in a very positive way.

So TL;DR stay positive, flexible, and willing to learn and success will come your way.

This strategy is more viable than you think. I'm typically the worst player on my team when I play on likeamaws in d1 and knowing this I try exceptionally hard to keep everyone motivated and in good spirits since I know unless I'm playing 1 of 3 or 4 champs in a specific matchup I'm very much liable to need to be carried. I developed the strategy at exactly the same tier as you about 10 months back and it is pretty much the only reason I managed to climb any further. Congrats on the placing, and good luck in the future mate.

Definitely. Every time I've risen pretty quickly through a division or tier has been during a really good time for me, attitude-wise anyway.

Similarly, bad times tend to correlate with loss of elo. With a few exceptions, I guess.

You know the real reason you're both diamond? It's because you think you are the worst player on your team. Try finding a single Player in bronze silver or gold who thinks that
