... that Plat III = better than 95% of the playerbase. Plat III is a circus show for anyone who knows even a little bit about this game (think mid-high Diamond players)

I think we're underestimating how bad the average person is at this game. JUST WOW.
lol I think many people in plat have ego problems. I am gold 3 atm and when I was in my promo to g3 from g4 I duo'ed with a plat 5 buddy of mine. Strange enough I was the ONLY gold player in that game and all of enemy+my team was mid-low plat except enemy trist who was plat 2.
The moment I got into game I started getting flamed on just for being g4 (srsly thats just pathetic). Our top laner called me elo boosted trash who will feed 30 kills and I was even told to go afk so they could remake lol :D Funny thing? I won my lane and our top laner fed instead. We kind of stomped that game and won. I went 8/3/10 or something and after we won as you can guess , enemy team was flaming each other hard.
