Does your rank reset every season ?
So I use to be in Silver but then got demoted to B3 when trying to climb. So I was wondering if rank resets every season ?

hahahahahahaha your one of them scrubs eh. Sorry (just hate the new player account rather high starting mmr bs). Yea, each season there is a soft reset at the start of the season.
The bad news: Preseason rank does affect your starting mmr for the start of a new season. So bronze 3 is where your placement mmr will start.
Other bad news: Its soft reset so most players rank down. And since your in bronze, you will be placed in bronze.
the good news: Sounds like you are truly bronze elo. So this is a good time to start practicing up for season and getting better. Also, if you were or are actually silver elo or higher then you will get back to silver or higher.
Examples of season reset. Last season (sorry season 4 not season 5) I ended in silver 3. I went 7-3 in my promos at the start of the season and dropped to silver 5. My cousin ended season in bronze 1. He went 8-2 in promos and was placed into bronze 4.
Yes and no. Your rank itself resets, but your MMR for ranked games stays the same (as far as I know) and your MMR has a lot to do with where you get placed after the placement matches. It's why people in Plat and stuff don't have to climb from Silver every season.
They call it a "soft reset." Your rank will drop, but new placements DO take into consideration your old rank. You just don't get back there exactly.
