Kills/Saves/Deaths/Assists...
Reward the players who save their allies!
Players health reaches 10% or a minimum base value Enemy targets player with an attack or ability./ Player is within range of an enemy skill shot off cool down. Player is shielded or healed by an ally./ Targeting enemy is Slowed or CC'd by an ally After 5 seconds Player is still alive Award save to allies who participated in the save. (CC'd the enemy, took damage from the Cait ult, Healed the player, etc.) Allies gain Gold and a stat in the "Saves" category
Support end game stats example... 1 / 6 / 4 / 16 looks much better than... 1 / 4 / 16
The issues with this: It doesn't account for skill shots that simply miss their targets. Skill shots may be much harder to program Just because a player is at 10% doesn't mean they are actually in danger of death. this would be hard to determine definitively Player could die after 5 seconds essentially not getting saved but still awarding saves to allies
Some of these issues may not need to be solved because they fall into the noise of the game. This would be equivalent to a player receiving an assist for giving a speed buff to an ally just before they got a kill. (essentially not assisting at all but still getting rewarded.)
Does this seem reasonable?
