Just a few thoughts

I'm sure I'll get some flak for this, but here goes:

I'm really sick of brush. I mean, it's nice every once in a while, and it plays a pivotal role in some champions and strategies. However, there are some players who live in the brush, and only emerge to attack when it's convenient. Some would call this a legitimate strategy, but to me, a game like League isn't about staying in the brush forever and popping out every now and then, it's about battling head on and only the more skilled player will win. So is it at all possible that we can downplay the importance of brush or maybe come up with a mode that doesn't have it?

On a separate note, I realize that Riot is trying to make League as visually appealing as possible, but maybe there are some elements that they could do without for the sake of minimizing lag and crashes? for example, the are structures in the background of the Howling Abyss that crumble and fall near the beginning of every game. that's kind of cool, but it's elements like this that cause some major lag, even if one has the graphics turned down, and especially for those who's computers can barely manage to run League in the first place.

My last point that I'd like to make concerns skins. Some of them are good, some not so much, but i feel that all of them should look as good as their out of game artwork. some skins are a bitter disappointment in this regard. a prime example of this sort of thing is Pentakill Sona.

Just a few thoughts of mine that i wanted to share, particularly with any developers that might read forum posts.

thanks for reading, good luck, and have some fun out there :)

Oh, and two more ideas:

  1. you know the bars that represent attack, ability power, health, and difficult for each character when you click on their icon? those are helpful, but i fear that they aren't helpful enough, especially for certain characters. for example, from those bars, any new player could tell that an attack damage carry needs attack damage. However, they might not know that they also need attack speed unless they're told, and considering how some players operate, they may tell the newbies in a way that starts a flame war or some such thing. so, my idea is this: split the bars into smaller bars which represent at least 3 parts of a given category (i.e. AP bar split into ap, cooldown reduction, mana, etc.).

  2. it is sometimes difficult to play when on purple for players who prefer to play with their screens locked, so a friend of mine came up with what would essentially be a display flip, so that, even though a player is in fact on purple, it would appear to them that they were on blue, does that make sense?

anyway, thanks again for reading :)
