I'm not a mid main, but I do run Karma support occasionally. She has a really strong level 1, with great wave clear and decent harass in her Q. However, by level 11, unless you've gotten way ahead, you will definitely start to fall off. If you don't close out the game early, you will have to depend on your teammates for damage. With that in mind, never forget the Mantra power-ups of W and E (particularly E). Your utility will still be really strong, and you can create some really cool moments.

Just to add, don't let anyone tell you that "Champion A is completely unviable at Role X; Champions B, C, and D are so much better and you should only play them. Champion A is only decent in Role Y, never play him/her anywhere else." Focus on your role, then practice the champions YOU enjoy and make them work for you. This game, I am learning, is more about knowing what you can do and are responsible for in any given match and less about what's OP.

So, in short, keep at Karma mid. Learn when she's strong and when she falls off for yourself, and play your game according to that.

Good luck!

I main mid too, and here is what I think... Karma mid is circumstantial Imo. I have played her mid several times, and she has ridiculously powerful early-mid game lane bully potential. This is coupled with her powerful MS buff on her shield makes her roam potential extremely strong. If you were to mid karma, you have to bully the opponent out of lane then continue to push your own tower, or assist other lanes with ganks. Like was said earlier, Karma falls off A LOT late game... I mean she doesn't at all compete for damage when it comes to late where people have huge HP and MR to stop her power pokes. The best thing you can do at that point is shift over to a support role. If your team already has a powerful AP mage, Karma can be an excellent pick (vlad Top for example) simply for that fact that they can make up for where karma is lacking which is late-game damage. Karma, however, is extremely good against low-mobility squishy mids like Anivia or Zyra or Syndra. You can easily stomp them with the poke and follow up with a shield + tether combo and mantra inner fire for the KO (you might want to ingite too to guarantee the KO if they aren't quite low enough for an all-in). There's very little they can do at that point, and that's when you start to roam and stomp other lanes with your team...

The point being, you need a team comp that supports Karma and not one that depends on a high-power control-mid like Anivia, Zyra, Veigar, Syndra, etc... The team comp she is better suited for, is one that already had plenty of damage to make up for her lack in that particular area late-game. The good part is that you won't need to bully people out of lane when laning phase has already ended late-game meaning that her role shift is excellent and those high-powered shields can really turn the tide of a team fight.

As a mid player, I would also recommend you specialize in at least 3 different mid picks that have a variety of roles. For example, I play Akali (assassin) as my main, but I also play Anivia (a power control-mid) and Ahri (high mobility tactician/play-maker). I mean it's up to you, but I think it's good to have a nice number of picks behind you so if your champ gets banned out, or you are going up against a team who hard-counters your main, you have another route you can go to better deal with the enemy team comp.

karma is an early game champion. if she is played mid she is a lane bully, she will most likely go even or win the lane but after 25 minutes or so , karma starts to fall off. thats when karma becomes a 2nd support to the team.

the reason people dont like karma is because she falls off late game and cant carry like the normal ap carry mids. shes basically like a lulu mid.

I would abuse your roaming potential. Your major strength is that you can control other people's movement speed. Of course, crush lane with superior early levels.

If you like it, play it. Get good at it. Make it work. The more I play the more I realize that picking something people rarely go up against is a great way to win lane.

I don't have experience playing as Karma, but as an AP Mid Main, I approve of the selection.

hey suicerfighter. to better scale into late game as karma dont build pure ap. try to have a rylais and a liandrys in her build. somethign like an athenes+sorcerer boots+ liandries+ rylias+ void staff+ zhonyas(or deathcap).

because with her poke late game the rylais makes it so enemies lose max hp. so at least u will still affect them somehow.

edit: since her Q applies a slow. u can skip the ryalies and build deathcap zhonyas both. and late late game sell athenes for a morellimocin for more ap and the unique passive as you dont need athenes anymore.
