How to Create a Music Magazine Cover in InDesign - Tuts+ Design & Illustration Tutorial

In my graphics class we have to make a magazine cover and the woman in the example reminded me of a certain mysterious assassin. Anyways, I'd thought I should ask to see if anyone would be willing to do a strange guy on the internet a favorswhich will probably never get repayed. Not really expecting anyone to do it but I figured its worth a shot.

wait, and how are you supposed to learn anything if someone else does the stuff you're assigned?

Whats the point?

Time to realize that school is not for the teachers but for YOU. man, read up on the stuff, if you dont have the software, use freeware. putting together a magazine cover is ezpz. download gimp for photoediting, inkscape for vector graphics, scribus for layout.

Figure stuff out by yourself or you are never going to be an innovator.

it looks like you have indesign. thats one of the best and easiest to use layout softwares. its completely self explanatory and a breeze to use. MAN UP AND DO YOUR OWN WORK!!!

Not to mention design is really fun. Some people end up with carrier in video games.

exactly my point. what if you actually enjoy doing this and are extremely good at it but because you are lazy and/or procrastinated and "outsourced" the work, pass up the chance to discover that?

I see I should've been more specific and mentioned that I just meant the background picture. Everything Else I would do on my own and really he is just expecting us to use photos we found on google for the background. I would never expect strangers to all the work for me. Hell, I don't even like it when my friends do that, because then I owe them. And as I said I ain't expecting crap, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Also, I'm a senior in High school and am just taking it because I had to have another class, hell it's mostly full of 8th graders from the middle school.

Also, it's supposed to be done on indesign on the macs at school so I have a total of 48 minutes subtracting 5 min in the beginning for the teacher to talk and 5 minutes for everyone to pack up, so it lowers that down to 38 minutes plus other projects that we have to do at the same time like making a notepad which takes forever because noone has used the printing machine before and the 8th graders are afraid to get dirty whatsoever.

U can use DeiantArt, since u dont plan to sell that poster u wont have any © issues, just credit the artist somewhere on the poster.
