Can we get a notification if a red read a thread?

Many people complain about rito not reading the forums so I believe that if there was something to let us know if a red read the thread. For example, say RiotKateyKhaos decides to pop on a thread, a little box on the main post would appear saying that it was noticed.

Edit: to make it clear I'm not asking for a comment on threads. Just a small indication that the thread was read. It could just be a small check box, it could literally just be the words, "this was read" in the corner of the thread, next to the title bar. That's it.

Almost every thread would have a "read by a Red" notification. People who don't believe that they read the forums now will just assume that the notification was coded to show up in every thread.

Two things: 1) there is no way almost all threads would have it, the amount of threads poste daily far outnumber the amount of reds that are at riot let alone the reds that actively post. 2) while yea there will people who will think that but not everyone. The way to get people to believe it would just rely on how it would be introduced.

Um...something wrong with your logic here.

What does the number of Rioters and how much the post have anything to do with whether they look at a thread or not? Your post did not say anything about how much they post, but if they look at a thread. 99 times out of 100, they read but do not reply. Simply putting their name on a thread causes problems (usually just by taking attention away from the OP) in most cases, so they don't.

Im not saying that they don't read them I'm saying they can't possibly read ALL of them. And I'm only suggesting they put a little notification that it was read on the main post. I'm not asking for a comment but nothing more than a small check box somewhere on the page saying that the thread was noticed. No names, no comments. Just a little check in a little square

It just gives people a specific excuse to harass Rioters "YOU READ MY POST BUT DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING THAT MEANS I'M RIGHT" and crap like that. There is risk with no benefit except to stroke peoples' egos.

People already harass rioters. People will always harass rioters no matter what they do. They could post on every thread with detailed paragraphs about the topic at hand and people will still complain about it in some way. But not doing anything at all doesn't help. If people don't feel they have a voice they will leave to a place where they feel they do. Personally I am fine as it is now, they only have so many reds and they can't comment on all threads, but I want boards to prosper and if people have issues about feeling noticed, then a solution should at least be discussed

The red tracker only shows that they read some threads not all.

I don't think this will be wised because if you place yourself in their shoes (lets say you were running a company that had million people invested into it ), and they saw when you looked at their complaint even if it was a stupid one or answered by another person, they would post and post and demand a response KNOWING you read it and most of the times they can't reply to certain questions without crossing a legal line or disclosing something they are working on. Example : How come skins can't be bought with IP .... Red post : we've thought of this and are looking into it .... > leads to people waiting for something that probably never happen and then complain later about it. Neither can they say NO they won't because they might in the future so why even respond to that.

1st) I don't want comments on all read threads

2nd) it could be up to the individual rioter if they want it known that the thread was read. The riot let could have to click a checkbox to have a little notification in the title bar or something to pop up.
