" You suck, how did you lose to a _____ as ______"

Champion match ups are based considerably more on that players skill with the champion rather than who counters who. Also factors such as Jungle presence and summoner spells play a good part as well.

If you're going to ignore that I was camped top and dove under tower and still complain about how I lost the easiest match up in the world then I don't think talking to you will be beneficial.. So either help me, help me ward, gank me, or help other lanes but don't bitch about me losing when you know the enemy jungle is camping my lane.

I mean, when a Leblanc loses to a Anivia I think it's pretty sad.

I have pity for whoever loses to me when I play Veigar. The flaming must be absurd.

"omg how did you not dodge his e?" "how does a zed lose to veigar?!" "Viegar was nerfd. why does he have more farm than you"

Pisses me off so much when a team blames their losing lane because "they should be winning"

It's still pretty painful to see someone try to play a counterpick they aren't good at, and feed. Just had someone pick Annie into Ahri and gloat about how easy of a lane it was. She died at level 2 (no idea how it happened, when I looked mid Ahri was level 3 and had most of her health). The jungle swung by and killed Ahri but Annie continued to lose. Midgame came around and we discovered that, somehow, Annie didn't understand how to play Annie, and kept trying to 1v4, ult the tank, etc.

At the end of it we got a ridiculous tirade from the Annie where she listed everything that happened in the game and why it was everyone else's fault, even the jungler's for "taking my kill" during the early gank.

Some people just... I read what they type and all I see is "waaah waaah why aren't I being carried harder you're all bad even though I'm 0/25 help me more"

i think it's probably more of changing your play style according to the situation. if their jg is camping top try to ward, play safe, and keep track of him at all times. if your team knows he's camping top more than ganking other lanes, they can play more aggressive without having to worry about getting counter gank, etc. i know some people are pretty annoying but i'll just block em. their pings still goes through so you still know if there's a mia or they're coming to assist etc.

I'd had this plenty of times when I play jungle. If I see a lane that I know for sure my laner is going to have a difficult time with, and if he seems competent after the first gank, he sure as hell is getting camped. I had a recent game with a Talon v a Zed. Ganked level 3, they were 2, and while Talon did outplay the zed to get first blood, I got the kill, and came back another 4 times before 6 getting him either kills, or low enough he had to back. Unfortunately his team decided to just flame him for feeding, when no one on his team was helping him ward, or ganking for him. For sure would have been a completely different game had his team not been children about it and helped him.

Back to back games I was playing Diana and was countered by a Fiora and Mordekaiser. I won my lane both times and in the and in the post match discussion I observed their teams trash talk them and say how bad they were for losing to me. I main Diana and I'm guessing neither of them had much experience on their champs, and just selected them for the "counter pick". Now the point I'm trying to get at here is that in most situations, summoner skill outweighs how the lane should theoretically pan out. So in situations where you need to win, like soloq, don't pick a champion just because they are a "counter", pick the champion that you are the most skilled with.

"How did you lose a 1v5 as Teemo ??? Scrub, get gud".

Devack The Holy3/18/2015, 1:46:52 PM1 votes

I had a game last week where I picked Vel'Koz mid, they "counter-picked" me with Talon. My team raged at me for not letting Fiora mid since she got countered by Teemo. I simply told Fiora to farm as much as possible and Lee to prepare to gank top often. Lee told me to stfu. Fiora falls behind, meanwhile, I've made Talon my b*tch, even with their jungler (Warwick) camping me (Guy even burned his ult twice trying to kill me, the second time under my tower for a free kill for me.). Killed WW when he had blue, then started roaming to make up for Lee's lack of ganking. I head top, delete teemo, TP bot, delete their bot lane, all to the shock of every player. Talon in particular was shocked:

Talon : How do you go from 1/8 as Tristana to 7/0 as Vel'Koz?! Velkoz : They didn't ban Blitz and didn't let me mid. Talon : I don't see why. You're scary as hell.

In context, the previous game, I was Trist versus a very aggressive Cait/Blitz bot lane. Kept trying to farm under tower, and Blitz would just pull me out from under it, and he and Cait would just destroy my ass. At least I know he scoped out my match history. Trust me, if the Mastery system was live, I'd already be a master at Vel.

Anyway, the Lee was bragging about him carrying our team. Yet he barely ganked, while I scatter their team just by showing up. In fact, I was so fed by the end, only Teemo was able to give me problems (Little rat was responsible for most of my deaths thanks to his poison/shrooms), and their team asked if my tentacles hurt carrying Lee.

So yeah, counters aren't everything. I've forced so many "counters" to be my toys as poke mages like Vel'Koz and Xerath, simply because every time they tried to farm, I'd just Xerath Q/W or Vel W/E to force them to back off. Then again, I get flamed in Bronze for going TP/Flash on Vel and Xerath simply to make up for my lack of mobility and safer laning. I've even made "expert" Zed and Kat players cry or ragequit. Just play who you're best at in the position you're taking, and you'll beat people who take certain champs just because they'll "counter" you. Talon here learned that first-hand. (Pretty sure the guy banned Vel in his next few games, just in case he came across me again.)

Hopefully Riot reworks Lux to be a better control/poke mage than she is now. The hatred I will generate with these three >:D Hopefully Veigar gets a little better after next patch, so that I can really be a bitch to assassin mids.

For reference, here's what I usually take mid:

Velkoz Xerath Annie Orianna Lissandra Veigar Lux

this game: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1760528417/40417246?tab=overview I was constantly flamed for feeding Wu. Kinda funny when i really didn't. Wu is an extreme hardcounter to teemo and i was doing quite well in lane until that nice moment where Udyr chased Nunu into my lane and gave Wu FB.

ps: it was a teambuildergame. unfortunate matchup!

I saw an AP Sona lose to an Azir despite being ganked numerous times.

When you're one of the strongest early game mid laners, with sustain, against one of the weakest if not THE weakest early game mid laner and you end up feeding him then you're obviously bad. Not going to go into detail about how the Sona didn't even build a Lich Bane or anything useful.

Tis a nice day3/16/2015, 9:29:32 PM1 votes

Back in S3 when Ryze was still considered faceroll status, I went 1v1 mid as Ryze vs Heimerdinger. My short range meant that clearing Heimer's turrets was a challenge. Still got flamed by team for losing to such a "weak" champion even when using an "OP" champion.

I don't point out that you should have won for YOUR edification, I do it because it makes ME feel better.

It only becomes relevant when both players have reach near mastery of their champ. before that? Yeah they will win some match ups they shouldn't.
